Abstract: Shibi culture is the core of the culture of Qiang people. Saving Shibi culture is the key to protecting the Qiang culture. The “5.12” earthquake caused immense damage to Shibi culture in the Qiang region. The cultural relics and relevant cultural facilities have been damaged to different extent，which directly influences the inheritance and protection of Shibi culture. Based on the specific condition and environment in the Qiang region and on the nature of culture protection，this paper tries to put forward a mode of “cooperation between the Qiang people and nationality universities” for mutual beneficial benefits. It is expected to contribute to saving and protecting the Qiang people and Shibi culture.
