Abstract: Sense of fulfillment is an important concept that reflects the value orientation of the Communist Party of China in governing the country. The academic circle has developed a profound understanding of the theoretical and social bases of this concept. Research achievements have been made on the basic connotation, value orientation and significance of this concept, on problems of and solutions to the implementation of this concept and on research methods. There is no concept in the same sense in foreign countries but there are researches in various disciplines on "sense of fulfillment". However, problems still exist in domestic researches, such as incomplete understanding of the role of people's subjectivity, inadequate researches on the intermediate link and the individual differences of the sense of fulfillment, lack of researches on the enhancement the sense of fulfillment from the perspective of educational care, and lack of holistic researches on the philosophical dimension of the concept of sense of fulfillment.
