Abstract: The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China made rural revitalization a national strategy. Rural revitalization and cultural construction are both important components of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, which complement each other and form an integration. Focusing on the coupling relationship and mechanism between characteristic local culture and rural revitalization this study conforms to the trend and nature of rural revitalization and cultural development, and has strong theoretical significance and practical value. Using the logic of the unity of history and theory, we can deduce the cultural dimension of rural revitalization and the correspondence between characteristic local culture and rural revitalization. Characteristic local culture can boost rural revitalization in that the cultural dimension of rural revitalization corresponds to the multiple values in them. In the process of promoting rural revitalization through inheritance, development and embedding of characteristic local culture, it is necessary to adhere to the systematicity and integrity of rural social structure, to establish the comprehensive concept of rural culture and rural revitalization, and to build a systematic mechanism of embedding culture in rural development, so as to optimize the efficiency of rural revitalization.
