Influence of Leadership Incentive on Enterprise Performance——The Intermediary Role of Work Engagement

Abstract: The theory of leadership motivation has been concerned by scholars at home and abroad. Among the many researches on theories about leadership incentive, only a few are about the impact of leadership incentive on enterprise performance. This paper constructs a research model of the relationship among leadership motivation, work engagement and enterprise performance. SPSS 24.0 and PROCESS 2.13 were used to analyze the 236 questionnaires and verify the research hypothesis by descriptive, correlation and multiple regression methods. The results show that leadership incentive has a significant positive impact on work engagement and enterprise performance; work engagement has a significant positive impact on enterprise performance; work engagement plays an intermediary role in leadership incentive and enterprise performance. Therefore, it is advisable for enterprise leadership to strengthen the incentive for performance scheme and completion, paying more attention to performance implementation process, feedback interview on and the application of performance evaluation results, so as to promote the positive effect of leadership incentive on enterprise performance.
