Abstract: The Party's self-revolution as the key measure of party building in the new era has its theoretical basis and practical significance. Since the 19th National Congress of CPC, the academic circles have carried out in-depth studies around Xi Jinping's exposition on self-revolution, exploring the scientific connotation, significance, internal basis and inherent logic of the self-revolution of the Party, and pointed out that the party's self-revolution must be carried out through construction of politics, ideology, organization, style and system with joint efforts in the new era. However, further studies need to be done on an authoritative definition of the concept, the in-depth exploration of the internal basis and logic and on the strategy for development. The academic circles should further expand and improve the research content, vision and methods in the future and provide a solid theoretical foundation for building the party stronger and promote the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
