Abstract: The new generation migrant workers′ effective participation in politics is the necessary guarantee for them to adapt to city life.The fact that the new generation of migrant workers does not have high quality not only affects their willingness and ability of political participation，but also makes it difficultly for them to improve the quality and level of their political participation.In the light of the status quo of quality of the new generation migrant workers，the author analyzes how the personal quality of the new generation migrant workers affects their political participation，and reveals the mechanism of such influence.It is hoped that this paper may help remove the major obstacles to their political participation and therefore improve their quality and level of political participation.
