Abstract: The "Belt and Road" initiative aims to promotes deep regional cooperation between China and countries along the "Belt and Road", to which energy cooperation is the key. Currently, international energy cooperation is advancing in a deep, broad, sustainable and high-quality direction. However, the sustainable development of international energy cooperation is facing difficulties such as high energy consumption and high pollution, unclear energy system, lack of innovation in energy cooperation mode,and single and scattered energy chain. We suggest exploring more new opportunities for energy cooperation by improving the green and low-carbon mechanism,improving the standards of energy cooperation,creating a multi-symbiotic mechanism, building a complementary system between supply and demand, and by establishing a supply chain alliance, so as to lay a foundation for the innovation of the sustainable development mechanism of international energy cooperation among countries along the "Belt and Road".
