Abstract:

After a questionnaire survey about the existent condition of tour

guides in Chengdu，the data were analyzed by SPSS13.0 and factor analysis is

made.The analysis displays some problems in the existent condition of tour

guides in Chengdu which involve poor identification，and unfair pay.Besides

，tour guides′ efforts seldom get fairly and objectively judged and they

have to pay to the travel agencies to “buy” tourist groups.The author then

suggest that actions be taken by tourism administration department and tour

guide service companies to improve the existent condition of tour guides，

and to maintain their lawful rights，so that tourism industry will develop

in the right direction.
