Abstract: The political culture construction within a party, the fundamental endeavor in the party construction, plays a key role in the construction of the soft power of the party. The CPSU's failure in the construction of political culture within the party during its 74 years of ruling has left us with painful lessons. The loss of the guiding position of Marxist ideology resulted in the loss of direction of the political culture within the CPSU. And the lack of restrictions and regulations on corruptions weakened mainstream value within the party, so that the nature of the CPSU's party political culture was changed and finally lost. Therefore,in advancing the comprehensive and stricter management of the party,the Communist Party of China must take the political culture construction within the party as its priority, and adhere to the Marxist ideology, so as to cultivate advanced and healthy political culture within the party.
