Abstract: Based on a field research about the status quo of cultural construction in Mingshan County，Sichuan Province，the author analyzes problems and experiences of cultural and recreational activities of country residents in Sichuan.The research then results in suggestions that special funds should be granted and earmarked to construction of cultural life in the countryside which should featuring local cultural characteristics so as to encourage active involvement of local people.Officially entitled personnel for cultural activities and renewed broadcast system in the countryside also help promote cultural construction in the countryside.
