Abstract: Guo Jingming, the most controversial,post80s writer who has appeared most frequently on the Forbes list of Chinese celebrities, has obtained unprecedented success in actively catering to the “marketreaders”,with his excellent business operation. The Tiny Times series pushed his influence to the acme. The character relationship in Tiny Times is thoughtprovoking. Behind the extreme materialistic consumerism is the emotional anxiety faced by the young generation, who has no faith in the world of the older generation, and rejects and shuns the next generation. In peer interaction, they fall into a state of anxiety and they are particular about both material and spirit. Love and friendship in Tiny Times all lead to a tragic end. The author himself also soberly realizes that, the “Tiny Times Castle” build by consumerism is a contemporary “deadend siege”. And the Tiny Times’ popularity with a large number of young loyal fans definitively proves that material and spiritual anxiety is a common syndrome that has become the current problems of the young generation.
