STUDY ON PERFORATION TEST OF LOW PERMEABILITY CORE WITH SHAPED CHARG

Abstract: Some tests have been done on the outcrop cores with actual shaped charges.The penetration and the permeability distribution around the perforated holes have been analyzed and the results are different from the routine formation.The permeability decreases gradually along the hole axis and becomes equal to the original value at the end of hole.The permeability also decreases along radial direction of the hole.Furthermore,the crush zone is not very clear and the permeability in the special area is higher than the original value.Besides,the penetration in the tested core is lower greatly than that in routine reservoir.Because the routine perforation technology is limited to improve the low permeability reservoir,the propellant perforation technology should be applied widely to improve the effect.
