Abstract

Abstract: The total costs of oilfield exploration can be di-vided, according to exploratory area, contract method, and the type of well, into simple groups in order to evaluate separately the influence of drilling footage and average unit cost on the total costs. By this way, the factors affecting the total costs of ex-ploration can be determined, and measures can be made toward reducing the total cost and enhancing the economic benefit of exploration. A composite grouping method is used in this paper.
