Petroleum development geology, as a cross discipline combined modern petroleum geology with petroleum development engineering, has played an important role in improvement of petroleum field development and technology application. The object of reservoir characterization in the future is acquiring information of 3D dynamic structures of reservoir in time. Reservoir characterization necessitates evaluation methods and control techniques of reservoir properties on physical-chemistry and geochemistry. Residual oil distribution and prediction, reservoir evolution theory and control engineering during petroleum field development will be found more application. Understanding and description of complicated reservoirs will be increasingly relied on geomechanics, petrophysics, interfical chemistry, clay mineralogy, nanometer science and technology. The paper has discussed the middle and long term development targets and strategically tasks of the discipline. And it has suggested that reservoir petrophysics, reservoir development geochemistry, development geology for unconventional gas, reservoir characterization and geological modeling, residual oil distribution theory and development engineering are priority development fields. It also
emphasizes that much attention should be paid on the construction of typical study base and establishing long and stable base for theory and new technology innovations.

When measuring the capillary pressure of any irregular or small core samples, the accuracy is depended on the mercury blind pore volume. On the base of studying the mercury blind pore volume phenomenon, a new method by using the cubic splines interpolating function to calculate the mercury blind pore
volume comes on. Thus, it is easy to get the right value of mercury blind pore volume of olitic carbonate rocks in Feixianguan Formation, Luojiazhai gas field, in northeastern, Sichuan, China. Based on analyzing the influence of the mercury blind pore volume, the capillary pressure curves are corrected, so the quality is improved and the application of the capillary pressure curves is expended.

A brand new kind of approach is presented for seismic migration processing-Common Focus Point (CFP) imaging techniques in this paper. CFP imaging techniques will separate prestack migration from velocity analysis recurring to two consecutive and independent focusing steps, and substitute operator up-

At present, the seismic inversion technology becomes most popular. Since the complex of the subsurface formation and the resolution of the data, it is very difficult to get a good result, especially for the well-log-constrained inversion, if the AC curve can not show the real situation of the formation, the inversion
result will be very difference from the true formation. So we can solve this problem by using the simulated AC curve. This article introduces the method and principle of the technology of well-log-constrained inversion and simulated AC curve. This method is based on the preliminary model, using simulated AC
curve instead of AC curve to do the inversion, and it can get very high resolution of inversion result. and this method has got very good result in application.

It is thought that main controlled factors of low permeability reservoir are zone of deposition, carbonate content shale content, granul-arity median and so on. In the deep water and bad surrounding ocean, it is very important that the anchor system severed as the located equipment of the platform or drilling boat. In the deep drilling, the bigger the anchor system sizes are, the stronger its strength is. The anchor-chain force subjected was more and more complex with the water depth increasing, so the dynamic analysis was
very important. Considering the relations between the minimum movement and the minimum anchoring force, namely, the anchoring system required the most suitable stiffness, so the reasonable continuing model was selected. The characteristics frequency and vibration model of the anchor-chain was got by calculating and analyzing the dynamic properties of the deep water drilling anchor chain, and the up and down limits of the anchor chain dynamic response were studied. The dynamic characteristics must be pay attention to void the resonance frequency with wave moving in design and construction.

In well test analysis, many well test physical models are often used, including homogeneous, dual-media, composite reservoir model etc. User or software development engineer used to separately solve each practical problem based on different models, but the efficiency was very low. Aiming at ternary media composite reservoir, the effective well-radius model of the ternary media, composite reservoir was established in the paper. The Laplace solution under bottom-hole pressure was obtained with the Laplace transformation, and then the well test interpretation model was unified through simplifying and decomposing. The model almost included all the models in well test interpretation (except for the horizontal well).

According to the practice of exploitation and well testing in low permeability reservoirs, the fluid flow had the starting pressure gradient in low permeability reservoirs. The well test curves are not easy to show the radius flow straight lines. a feature of pressure propagation with low velocity nondarcy percolation is that the fluid flowing boundary extends outwards continuously. In views of this situation, a fixed boundary mathematical model based on the pattern of low velocity non-darcy percolation with wellbore storage and skin effect was presented, and solutions of wellbore pressure in Laplace domain was solved with Green’s function. The radiuses of flowing boundary corresponding to the different time were determined in accordance
with the starting differential pressure by fluid from static to flowing condition, analytical solution of fixed boundary model was then used to calculate the correction of wellbore pressure varied with time, which was regarded as a numerical approximation of flowing boundary model. The curves of the wellbore pressure varied with time were developed by Stehfest reverse
method, and the influences of flowing boundary, starting pressure gradient, storage ratio, inter porosity flow coefficient and difference between darcy percolation and non-darcy percolation were discussed in details.

But how to evaluate those measures is very critical for choosing the optimal measure. If indexes chosen are different, 1the evaluated results are also different, which puts forward a difficult problem for the oil field worker’s choice. Fuzzy comprehensive analysis theory in fuzzy mathematics is used and evaluation indexs of measures and develops fuzzy comprehensive arragement method of appraising measure effect is formed. This method is applied to evaluate the effect of those adjust measures used at Xi SanYao

This paper is the second part of APPLICATION of DRILLING FLUID TECHNOLIGY in KENKYAK OILFILD.The reservoirs in Kenkyak oilfield are deep and high
pressured reservoirs with complicated geological condition. The main characteristics of formation are :the salt formation is so developed that may reach about to 3000 meter thickness in permian above main area of salt dome .Reservoir pore pressure coefficient of carboniferous system is up to 1.90-1.94. Because carbonate rock which is the main reservoir developed many cracks that caused not only mud loss but also well kicked, and
the safety density window of drilling fluid was narrow, first lost circulation then well blowout was easily happened. In the past thirty years ,many drilling accidents such as well blowout, mud loss, well slough, stick pipe were often happened .The obvious characteristic of drilling engineering was to have many accidents ,slowly pace and lower successful rate .It seriously influenced
drilling works that many drilling accident happened by the complicated geological condition causing .Based on these characteristics of formation ,a series drilling fluid technologies for preventing accidents were developed by Southwest petroleum institute (SWPI) ,and then used in 9 wells in Kenkyak oilfield successfully during 2002 and 2003 year. By adopting these technolo
gies ,the remarkable application effects have been achieved ,such as the drilling accident rate greatly reduce, the drilling pace obviously improved , drilling successful rate was up to 100%.

Results show that certain concentration of LPS can modify the vertical water injection profile, and makes the afterward water into the higher

At the same time, the injection of LPS will changes the direction of liquid flow to adjust the profile in the high permeability formation. It can improve oil displacement efficiency and enhance oil recovery in the fault block with high
