Abstract: In the context of credit system，undergraduate tutorial system，as an exotic thing in the reform of teaching mode in Chinese universities，has the following shortcomings. It is limited by the traditional teaching mode in practice. Both teachers and students don’t play their roles as expected. The supervisor and the tutor don’t have a good communication and the division of their duties is not clear，and the supporting system for the tutorial system is not perfect enough. Referring to mature practice of overseas colleges and universities，the author suggests that the tutorial system should be perfected from the aspects of tutor election standards，establishment of tutor group，a close teacherstudent relationship，and management mechanism，etc.
