Abstract: To assume their responsibilities and to conduct their missions of education，universities cultivate batch after batch of builders and successors with love to the communist party and the country，ready to help others and devoted to socialist construction by launching “learning from Lei Feng activities”，the achievements of which is for all to see. However，plural value systems and economic globalization in the new era arouse people’s questions about the meaning and necessity of spectacular activity of “learning from Lei Feng”. An exploration was made that is focusing on practice，perseverance and other issues in learning from Lei Feng activities. “Learning from Lei Feng activities” needs to conform to the characteristics of the new era，and be deepened by means of enriching connotation，innovating approaches and improving the evaluation methods of effectiveness.
