Abstract: Xi Jinping's thoughts on political ethics is an important part in Xi Jinping's thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era. A theoretical system of the purposes and methods of national governance, Xi's thoughts on political ethics derive from both Marxist thoughts and the positive legacy of traditional Chinese thoughts on political ethics, and take into consideration the socialist political ethics practice with Chinese characteristics. Xi's thoughts on political ethics cover responsibility, code of conduct, and moral standard. The political personnel must serve the people and the public whole heartedly without pursuing personal gains,and thus to construct a healthy and clean political environment so as to promote their work performance.
