Abstract: The insertion of Yunnan Zhuzhi poems in Gu Wang Yan by Cao Qujing not only reflects the characteristics of poetry and story co-existence, but also displays special cross-culture writing strategies and narrative techniques. The strategy of inserting Zhuzhici in story telling reflected the stylistic function evolution, literary transformation and multidimensional perspective in the novel. Based on the content of travel stories, Cao created the fine images of the subjects with Zhuzhici, and then presented the writing process of Yunnan Zhuzhici through the dialogues and plots in the stories, and finally realized defamiliarization. Seen from the evolution of the vernacular novels in the Qing Dynasty and that of Zhuzhici, this kind of writing strategy contributes to the creating of the images of "others".
