Abstract: In recent years, fictitious ancient social romance novels are becoming prevalent and are very popular among the readers for the grant layout and extraordinary heroines. Those characters not only reflect the traditional aesthetics of the Han nationality, but also satisfy the social expectations rooted in family and wealth. The fictitious ancient social romance novels also fit the self-expectations of modern women under the contemporary value system. These novels, romantic and entertaining, have also changed correspondingly as the readers have become or about to become middle-classes, revaluing the social significance that women embody in family stability, family wealth increase, child raising and family traditions inheritance. The heroines in the novels are integrated, and loyal to love; they face up to difficulties, contribute to their families and the society, and take responsibilities. These new "great and perfect" images express the new tendency of feminism-the maturity and happiness of women depend on their inner spiritual strength, personality which conforms to traditional ethics, and family legacy from the ancestors. All the above have made the online expressions more tolerant of the traditions and integrating, which echoes the current mainstream ideology.
