Research on the Practical Strategies of Cyberspace Ideology Security Education of China's Colleges in the Mobile Internet Era

Abstract: In the era of mobile Internet, China's colleges and universities, the important places for ideological education, are faced with unprecedented challenges and opportunities. Through an investigation of 11 domestic colleges we conduct a study on Chinese college students' cognition and acceptance of cyberspace ideology security education and find that the college students in general show a high level of acceptance of cyberspace ideological security education, but nearly one-fifth of the students have not identify with the value of the mainstream ideology, and a quarter of the students cannot consciously maintain ideology security in cyberspace. Therefore, Chinese colleges need to adhere to the basic principles of cyberspace ideology security education with Chinese characteristics, to innovate courses of ideological and political theory and expand education channels, and to construct a college cyberspace ideological security education network of faculty groups, network technical talents, and political leadership of student associations.
