His life and education in his hometown and the deeds of Shui hero Pan Xinjian, were the origin of Deng Enming's revolutionary thought, which is influenced by the new trend of thought then. After the May Fourth Movement, he accepted Marxism. Membership of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China revealed that Deng Enming's revolutionary thought has matured. Deng Enming has gone through lots of hardships and risked his life in establishing Party organization and workers' organizations, and in organizing strikes and armed protests among workers and peasants, and finally sacrificed his life when the revolutionary cause was in danger.
