Marx and Engels' Scientific Approaches to Analyzing Social Trends

Abstract: In refuting the false philosophical thoughts in their time, Marx and Engels' developed their approaches of great theoretical significance. And the development of these approaches is clearly presented in a series of classic works of Marxism. In Theses On Feuerbach, Marx first criticizes the false philosophical thoughts and initiated their new philosophical thoughts; in The Poverty of Philosophy,criticism of the false philosophical thoughts is produced and their new philosophical thoughts are elaborated more profoundly;in Anti-Duhring,Engels presents a systematic description of the foundation of their approach to the criticism of the false philosophical thoughts and that to the establishment of their own philosophical thoughts. Such approaches have its value today in revealing the significance of the mentality beyond the multiple social trends and heterogeneous ideologies through criticizing and establishing. It is necessary today to establish the theoretical system of mainstream ideology through criticizing and establishing so as to guide the current social trends and improve ideological work of the Party.
