RURAL COMMUNITIES AND POST-DISASTER RECONSTRUCTION

Abstract:

In light of the present problems in the original structure of rural communities:weakening identity,lack of cooperation among community members,lack of collective capacity to deal with emergency and crisis and lack of social norms and traditional ethics rural society,the author thinks that reconstruction of disaster-stricken areas should put emphasis on the reconstruction of both the social fabric and the collective community of the affected areas,with efforts to restore and activate the old tradition of the community and to add new content.The main body of the reconstruction of rural collective communities should be the farmers.It is necessary to fully mobilize and protect local people′s enthusiasm,initiative and creativity,to speed up the reconstruction of rural community.
