TEACHING COOPERATION:THE EFFECTIVE APPROACH TO COLLEGE ENGLISH TEACHERS′ PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract:

It takes time for college English teachers to achieve professional development.Due to the insufficient opportunities of getting in-service training,college English teachers should make full utilization of school-based resources to pursue their professional development.They are supposed to take the classroom teaching as their important opportunity of advancing their professional capabilities.In the course of their teaching practice,teachers can develop their professional capabilities through teaching cooperation,which includes preparing for lessons together,peer observation and teaching reflection.
