INVESTIGATION AND ANALYSIS ON COLLEGE ENGLISH CULTURAL TEACHING AND LEARNING

Abstract: The training of crosscultural awareness and competence has become a focus in college English teaching and learning.Based on the investigation and analysis on crossculture education in college English teaching and learning through a questionnaire,the authors discuss about various problems in crossculture education in current college English teaching and learning and the causes for the college students′ lack of crosscultural communication competence.Then they draw a conclusion that it is of the greatest necessity and importance to develop such competence in college English teaching,and some constructive suggestions in terms of improving the competence are put forward.
