Abstract: The level of touristization is an important criterion for studying and measuring the development of regional tourism industry, and the connotation of touristization is the core issue in the measurement of touristization level. In order to make further researches on the level of touristization, based on the perspective of geography, this article selects 11 factors from three aspects:tourism resource endowment, tourism infrastructure, and tourism market driver, and expounds the connotation of "touristization" from the perspective of the tourism system. We construct an evaluation index system of touristization level, and analyze the touristization level of Sichuan Province from 2015 to 2017 using GIS method. The research shows that the overall level of touristization in Sichuan Province has been increasing year by year, and the development level of touristization in Chengdu has obvious advantages. Spatially, the development level of touristization is high in the north central region of Sichuan,low in the eastern region,and the central and southern regions is characterized by uneven development. The endowment of tourism resources, transportation infrastructure, economic development level, and the implementation of local policies are important factors in the difference in the level of tourism. The findings have practical significance for promoting the development of tourism in Sichuan Province.
