Abstract: As a means of learning how to heal from nature, horticultural therapy, taking plants as the medium, enables people to recover and develop themselves in the process of planting and experiencing horticulture. Different patterns of horticulture therapy have been developed in social work:institutional gardening, community gardening, and social gardening. In the process of horticultural therapy, social workers employ horticulture therapy techniques through the six stages, such as activity design, participation, harvest, sharing, reflection and evaluation of curative effects. According to social work ethics, horticulture therapy practitioners must have corresponding qualifications, and they must also be well prepared in resources allocation, risk management and application restrictions.
