In this paper, we study the relation between the sunspot activity and UV intensity in Dali city, using the observational
data from July 15 to November 15, 2010. The daily data of the total number of sunspot and the UV intensity data in 5 months are used in this study. The ultraviolet radiation intensity is divided into grades weakest, weak, medium, strong and very strong, and for statistical convenience, we use the number 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 to represent them. The result shows that UV is always strong when the sunspot group total is 2. It also shows that when a total number of sunspot group in a period of time (about 3 days or more) maintains an unchanging value, i.e. 2, there will be strong ultraviolet radiation. After UV becoming strong or very strong it will gradually decline, while this change is independent of sunspot group in total.
