Abstract: The 19th NCCPC provided theoretical and action guidance for the development of social undertakings, and for the innovation and development of the enrollment and career consultancy work in universities. To act under the guidance of the spirit of 19th NCCPC,colleges need to analyze the changes in enrollment and career consultancy work from historical transform, theory innovation and career development, so as to further determine the direction of the enrollment and career consultancy work in colleges. This paper also sorts out the basic and fundamental problems, and the key problems in the enrolment and career consultancy work that colleges are faced with in the new era. In the new era, development of enrolment and career consultancy work in colleges should adhere to the guidance of the Xi Jinping' thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics, by integrating ideological and political education, expanding the theoretical system with multidisciplinary visions, promoting the application of new concepts and technologies, extending work access and upgrading the work teams.
