Abstract: Although Zhu Xi's Neo-Confucianism and literature belong to different fields, they both constitute an important part of Zhu Xi's ideology. For a long time, academic researches on Zhu Xi's Neo-Confucianism and literature are done separately without connecting them in comprehensive and systematic studies. When the relationship between those two is included in researches, we may find that the study of Zhu Xi's literature is obviously influenced by his Neo-Confucianism, and it also provides a new research field for the study of his Neo-Confucianism. Zhu Xi not only explained his own thoughts on Neo-Confucianism and expanded the influence of Neo-Confucianism through literature, but also answered some literary questions from the perspective of Neo-Confucianism. By elaborating his own literature thoughts from the perspective of NeoConfucianism, Zhu Xi gave a reason to the existence of literature, which made a profound influence on the later studies of Confucianism and literature.
