Abstract: Petroleum spirit,a combination of patriotism,entrepreneurship,factualism,and dedication,is the heirloom of new China's petroleum industry and an important part of the national spirit of China. Integrating petroleum spirit into the ideological and political education of petroleum universities will benefit both the students and the petroleum industry. However,there exist difficulties and challenges in the process of the integration. Therefore,in order to integrate petroleum spirit into the ideological and political education of petroleum universities, we must do the following three things:to build an "Ideological and Political Courses"+"Ideological and Political Education in Courses" teaching system of ideological and political theory to enhance students' understanding of petroleum spirit;to build an "industry"+"culture" teaching system of petroleum culture to enhance students' acceptance of petroleum spirit; to improve the "online"+"offline" teaching mode to improve the students' practice of petroleum spirit.
