    Journal of Dali University    2024, 9 (6): 1-.
    Abstract103)      PDF (1634KB)(151)    Save
Objective: To sort out the works in history, describe the historical process, and summarize the historical achievements of
the scientific expedition for Cangshan mountain and Erhai lake, and put forward suggestions for future scientific expedition. Methods:Based on retrieving and investigating literature and taking the history of biological science expedition as the main line of discourse, the history of scientific expedition for Cangshan mountain and Erhai lake was divided into different stages according to the characteristics of the development process of Chinese society since modern times, and the specific works and main achievements of each stage were elaborated. Results: The modern scientific expedition for Cangshan mountain and Erhai lake region was initiated in 1882 by Westerners represented by Père Jean Marie Delavay. In 1919, Zhong Guanguang( also known as Tsoong Kuan-Kwang) came to Cangshan mountain and collected specimens, which was the first time for Chinese to investigate Cangshan mountain and Erhai lake. So far, the scientific expedition in this region has gone through four main development stages, i.e., the initial stage before the founding of the People′s Republic of China (before 1949), the early period of the People′s Republic of China (1949-1977), the first 20 years of reform and opening up( 1978-2000), and the latest 20 years( 2001 to present). After more than 140 years of accumulation of scientific expedition, we have a systematic understanding of the species resources and its distributions of plants, macrofungi and some animal groups (i.e., mammals, birds, fish, and some insects) of the Cangshan mountain and Erhai lake, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the physical geography, geology, and ecological environment resources in this region. The plant hunters represented by George Forrest had brought back many plant germplasm resources from this region to Europe and the United States, which greatly promoted the development of horticulture and landscape architecture and the associated industry in Western countries. Conclusion: The scientific expedition for Cangshan mountain and Erhai lake has a long history and rich contents, which is rare in China, and had made significant contributions to
the development of modern biology, especially botany. In the future, it is necessary to further strengthen investigations in biology, ecology, and environmental science, which aimed at answering important questions, and thus promote the progress of science. For instance, the protection and restoration of biodiversity and ecological environmental, and the sustainable development of human society in the context of intensive human activities and global change. Furthermore, to coordinate the requirements of the management of national nature reserves and the social needs of the application of technology for resource exploitation and utilization, thereby making Cangshan mountain and Erhai lake better serve the development of regional economy and society.

The Security-Development Nexus: Connotations, Pathways, and Influencing Factors of China's Peripheral Diplomacy in the New Era
    Qi Weiqun , Xi Guigui
    Journal of Dali University    2025, 10 (9): 85-.
    Abstract28)      PDF (1494KB)(93)    Save
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China has actively advanced its peripheral diplomacy by adhering to the principles of "treating neighbors with friendship and partnering with them", upholding "good-neighborliness, securing neighbors, and enriching neighbors", and highlighting the philosophy of "amity, sincerity, mutual benefit, and inclusiveness". In the new era, China′s proposal of the "Global Development Initiative (GDI)" and "Global Security Initiative (GSI)" has endowed China′s peripheral diplomacy with the critical connotation of balancing "security" and "development". This paper argues that the main pathways of China′s peripheral diplomacy include the expression of goodwill signals, institutional creation, and economic reciprocity. Meanwhile, the fundamental connotations consist of China′s own economic growth, its response to the challenges posed by the U. S. Indo-Pacific strategy, and its efforts to address the diverse security and development demands of Southeast Asian countries.

    Journal of Dali University    2024, 9 (11): 121-128.   DOI: 10. 3969 / j. issn. 2096-2266. 2024. 11. 017
    Abstract88)      PDF (1409KB)(85)    Save
In traditional Chinese society, almost every village has nurtured virtuous people (elites) within its own local culture. They
are similar to officials yet different; they are similar to the common people yet more powerful. The elites can convey public opinions
through their own privileges, act as intermediaries between the government and the people, and directly participate and play a leading
role in rural governance. Traditional rural elite-driven governance is the main mode of traditional rural social governance. Looking at
its development, its content has gradually evolved from being solely responsible for moral education to directly participating in specific
rural affairs. Traditional rural elite-driven governance has promoted rural autonomy, developed public welfare undertakings, flourished
rural culture, and consolidated rural strength. It fully reflects the sage-like color of traditional Chinese politics and prominently
showcases the experience and wisdom of grassroots governance in China. Summarizing its experience can bring some practical
inspirations for new elites to participate in rural governance in the context of the new era, and it is worthy of exploration and research.

Cultural Strategy, Narrative Translation and Order Shaping: A Study on the Mechanism of Yunnan#br# Myths Consolidating the Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation#br#
    Sun Haoran, Cheng Bo
    Journal of Dali University    2024, 9 (7): 1-9.   DOI: 10. 3969 / j. issn. 2096-2266. 2024. 07. 001
    Abstract101)      PDF (1608KB)(81)    Save
Historically, various ethnic groups in Yunnan have consciously and continuously intervened in the "original narrative" to achieve the reconstruction of "secondary narrative" in the long-term process of interaction, communication and integration. Through the translation process of decoding and coding, they have transformed the secular into the sacred, the conflict into harmony, and the non-community into the community, and finally constructed a set of sacred narrative system. Yunnan myth, as a reflection of historical reality, cultural reality and social fact, is a cultural strategy with emotion, metaphor, folk and enlightenment in daily life. This cultural strategy can influence the goal setting and action choice of regional ethnic groups, and promote the conscious formation of regional ethnic community and even Chinese national community. Yunnan mythology, specially the "myth of the Chinese nation community", contains rich consciousness of the Chinese national community and is the "knowledge inventory" to cast the sense of community for the Chinese nation.

Building Dali into historical and cultural city and an international tourism city worthy of the name, and creating a worldclass
cultural and tourism industry is an important path to realize the high-end, high-quality and internationalization of Dali's culture
and tourism. Based on the investigation of the current situation of "integration of culture and tourism" in Dali Prefecture, it is found that Dali Prefecture is rich in tourism resources and has profound historical heritage, but it is now facing a problem of single-point concentration, multi-point dispersion and integration without full fusion. Dali should coordinate cultural undertakings, cultural
industries and tourism industry with the concept of "integration of culture and tourism". It should also play the leading role of the
government, strengthen the cultivation of cultural and tourism talents, strengthen the publicity of news media and give play to its
geographical advantages to promote the high-quality development of "integration of culture and tourism" in Dali.

    Abstract139)      PDF (1771KB)(62)    Save
The vegetation cover types and their distribute changes in Cangshan mountain were studied by combining vegetation ecological remote sensing and field investigations. Based remote sensing analysis of vegetation, the results showed the vertical vegetation spectrum distribution pattern was obvious in Cangshan mountain, and the community types and their interconversion in the
subalpine vegetation zone were complicated. The Abies delavayi forest, as the core protected object, was mainly distributed in the alpine zone of eastern slope. With the establishment of protected area, the fractional of vegetation coverage of Cangshan mountain increased significantly, and all functional zones had been fully restored to high coverage vegetation. Through the field vegetation community investigation, the community structure of Abies delavayi forest and Lithocarpus variolosus forest was stable, and at some elevations, the communities of Pinus yunnanensis forest, Pinus armandi forest and Alnus nepalensis forest were at risk of decline. Compared to the previous single method of scientific investigation, this remote sensing image could effectively improve the deciphering of vegetation cover types and their interconversions in Cangshan mountain. At the same time, the results from remote sensing analysis and field investigation can support each other well. However, it is still necessary to conduct field investigations and verifications of subformation, alliance and association of various vegetation communities.

    Journal of Dali University    2024, 9 (8): 1-9.   DOI: 10. 3969 / j. issn. 2096-2266. 2024. 08. 001
    Abstract257)      PDF (1849KB)(58)    Save
Objective: To explore the real taste characteristics and the application rules of sweeteners for 25 bitter Chinese herbs
commonly used in clinic. Methods: The volunteer visual analogue scoring method was used to classify the real taste of 25 kinds of
Chinese herbs, and grasp the main taste, taste grade, perception position and perception trend of each kind of Chinese herb. 11 kinds of
common sweeteners were selected, and the exclusive sweeteners that can effectively mask the bad taste of the above Chinese herbs were
matched through the volunteer tasting experiment. Results: The main tastes of different Chinese herbs were different. Huanglian and Longdan had intense bitterness, and Longdan had astringency; Huangbai and Chuanxinlian had strong bitterness, and Chuanxinlian had astringency; 13 herbs, such as Yanhusuo and Lianzixin, had obvious bitterness, and the aftertaste disappeared 3-4 minutes after spitting the liquid; Kuxingren and Yinchen had slight bitterness, and the aftertaste disappeared 1-3 minutes after spitting the liquid; Ganjiang had obvious spicy taste. The results of the specificity of sweeteners showed that the most suitable sweetener for Chuanxinlian was sucralose; for Longdan and Huangbai, it was neotame; for Huajuhong and Zhishi, it was mogroside; for Baibu and Zhebeimu, it was stevioside; for Lianqiao, it was aspartame; for Qinghao, it was glycyrrhizin; for Sanqi, it was acesulfame-K. Conclusion: The main taste of the above-mentioned Chinese herbs is bitter, and 3/5 of
them have concurrent tastes; the taste perception site of the vast majority of Chinese herbs is in the back of the mouth, and the spicy
taste perception is in the front of the tongue. According to the analysis of taste characteristics of 21 kinds of Chinese herbs, stevioside,
mogroside, sucralose and glycyrrhizin are suitable for suppressing the bitterness of most bitter Chinese herbs.

The spreading Confucianism in Yunnan Province is the process of assimilating the central-plain culture into the border culture. During this process, the Chinese national culture has evolved from "diversity" to "integration" and the strong sense of community for the Chinese nation has been gradually formed. Field investigations shows that there is a complete Confucius worship ceremony in Nuodeng Village of Yunlong County in Dali Prefecture. Such a ceremony is prevalent in Yunnan Province, and is a cultural performance in the dissemination of Confucianism. Literature studies indicate that Confucianism has exerted a great influence on Yunnan ethnic culture through three dissemination stages: preliminary, systematic and comprehensive. Through continuous and in depth cultural cultivation, Confucianism has integrated the regional culture, consolidated the social structures, and strengthened the concept of the state, thus promoting the construction of the cultural community, social community and political community, providing an important cultural resource for forging the strong sense of community for the Chinese nation among all ethnic groups in Yunnan today.

In order to understand the formation process and influencing factors of the Resilience of bereaved college students and explore how to improve their mental health, 14 college students who did not meet the diagnostic criteria of prolonged grief disorder were selected for semi-structured interviews, and the holistic content model was used to conduct narrative analysis of the interview texts. The results showed that the formation process was divided into the following three stages and themes. Hearing the death: they had multiple reactions at different ages; Facing the bereavement: they were forced to accept the death at the funerals; Life restart: the wounds coexist with recovery. The 3 themes can be divided into 13 sub-themes. In addition, the influencing factors could be divided into 2 themes and 7 sub-themes, such as the adequacy of family social support and the completion of meaning reconstruction. It is necessary to improve the anti-adversity abilities of college students to bereavement events through the integration of life and death education and ideological and political education in colleges, guiding bereaved people to reconstruct the meaning of bereavement, and building a family-school-community assisted parenting resilience system, so as to cultivate their sound personality and good personality and psychological quality.

    Abstract111)      PDF (1624KB)(43)    Save
To innovate rural governance models and improve rural governance effectiveness is extremely crucial. As an emerging
innovative governance model in recent years, the integral system governance model helps strengthen Party leadership and promote
effective rural governance. Through reducing Party members' maladaptive thoughts and habits and increasing villagers" participation in
village governance, F Village clarifies the role of grassroots Party organizations as battle fortresses and sets an exemplary role for the
villagers. Taking "points system and positive energy supermarket" as the starting point, the villagers' behaviors are quantified into
specific scores and recorded. Villagers can exchange points for daily necessities. Practice shows that as an incentive and restraint
mechanism, the points system is deeply embedded in the daily governance of F Village and has become an institutional driving force for
promoting effective rural governance in the Village.

    Abstract0)      PDF (2691KB)(43)    Save
〔Abstract〕 Objective: To analyze the changes of resident deaths affected by temperature and air pollution from 2015 to 2022 in Dali
Bai Autonomous Prefecture, and to provide scientific basis for formulating corresponding public health strategies. Methods: Population
death data, meteorological data and air pollution data were collected in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture from 2015 to 2022. A
distributed lag non-linear model (DLNM) was constructed to analyze the nonlinear effect and cumulative lag effect of exposure to
different daily temperature levels and PM values on local population death. Results: A total of 194 480 residents died in Dali Bai
Autonomous Prefecture from 2015 to 2022, with a standardized mortality rate of 624.34/100 000. Both low temperature and high
temperature had an impact on the death of the population, and the DLNM modeling results showed that the relative risk (RR) value of
resident death increases under both high temperature and low temperature conditions. However, with the increase of the cumulative lag
time, the RR value at high temperature gradually decreases, and the cumulative effect does not change significantly at low temperature.
In Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, the RR values were not high when residents were exposed to low PM
    2.5
    and low PM
    10
    values, while
the RR values were large when exposed to high PM
    2.5
    and high PM
    10
values. However, the RR values gradually decreased with the
increase of the cumulative lag time. Conclusion: Residents of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, especially those who suffer from
    cardiovascular system, respiratory system and other basic illnesses, should take personal warming measures in low temperatures;
meanwhile, reduce the frequency of going out and take personal protective measures when the air quality decreases.

    Journal of Dali University    2025, 10 (5): 1-.
    Abstract73)      PDF (1482KB)(42)    Save
The "second integration" represents a significant theoretical innovation. In his speech at the symposium on cultural inheritance and development, as well as in the Outline for the Study of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture, General Secretary Xi Jinping provided authoritative elaborations on this concept, opening up vast intellectual space for scholarly interpretation. The "second integration" carries profound implications: its premise lies in the intrinsic compatibility between Marxism and the fine traditional Chinese culture, while its outcome is the mutual enrichment of the two, culminating in the emergence of a new, organically unified cultural entity. Its importance is reflected in both "breaking" and "establishing." On the one hand, it represents a renewed emancipation of thought; on the other, it reinforces cultural subjectivity. A deeper exploration and interpretation of the "second integration" will enable us to better grasp the essential spirit and core tenets of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture.

    Abstract481)      PDF (1421KB)(40)    Save
The integration of artificial intelligence into ideological and political education in colleges and universities is the essential
meaning of ideological and political education adhering to fundamental principles and making innovations in the intelligent era. Its
value is reflected in the fact that it helps ideological and political education in universities to improve the precision of human
education, reshape the human-machine relationship, and broaden the practical field. Meanwhile, ideological and political education in
colleges and universities also faces risks and challenges such as the obscuring of human subjectivity, the alienation of educators'
discourse power, the cognitive limitations of the educated, and the intensified penetration of ideology. In this regard, colleges and
universities must adhere to educating people as the fundamental principle, firmly take teachers as the main body, insist on regarding
students as the core, and be resolute in maintaining stability to promote high-quality development of ideological and political education
in colleges and universities in the era of artificial intelligence.

Changes in Color and Chemical Components during the Aging Process of Artemisia argyi Leaves
Yang Dandan, Huang Haozhou, , Bao Xiaoming, Yang Ming, Zhang Dingkun,
    Journal of Dali University    2025, 10 (8): 1-10.   DOI: 10. 3969 / j. issn. 2096-2266. 2025. 08. 001
    Abstract109)      PDF (1700KB)(39)    Save
Objective: To investigate the dynamic changes in color, volatile and non-volatile components of Artemisia argyi leaves
during natural aging, and clarify the mechanism of chemical component transformation, providing a scientific basis for quality
evaluation and optimization of the aging process. Methods: A. argyi leaves of different aging years were used as the research object.
The color change was characterized by measuring the color parameters using a colorimeter. The volatile oil of A. argyi leaves was
extracted by steam distillation and the yield was calculated.Gas chromatogram-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) combined with orthogonal
partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) was applied to analyze the composition and differences of volatile components.
High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to quantify five non-volatile components, including neochlorogenic acid
and chlorogenic acid. Results: With the prolongation of aging time, the color of A. argyi leaves gradually shifted from green to
yellowish-brown, and the volatile oil yield significantly decreased. GC-MS identified 92 volatile components, among which alkenes
and alcohols were the major components. OPLS-DA screened out 20 differential components, with contents of borneol, methyl eugenol,
p-cymen-8-ol, dihydrocarvone, and α-thujone increasing significantly. For non-volatile components, phenolic acids degraded faster
than flavonoids. Conclusion: The aging of A. argyi leaves is driven by the synergistic effects of volatile component transformation, nonvolatile
component degradation, and physicochemical changes. The formation of compounds like borneol reveals the complexity of
chemical conversion, while color changes serve as a visual indicator of aging progression. These findings provide a scientific basis for
establishing a quality evaluation system and optimizing the aging process, and offer a modern scientific interpretation of the traditional
concept "the longer the aging, the better the efficacy".
